Intel Skylake Die Block Details Shown
You have seen our reviews of the 6600K and 6700K, Intel however has not shared specifics of the architecture. Until today, over at IDF they have been talking quite a bit more about the processor. The 14nm Skylake die certainly is small.
We have a die block diagram that shows everything really, the iGPU space has increased heaps. You can spot the traditional design of two trows with two cores each sharing a L3 cache. The integrated iGPU has up-to 24 active execution units (EUs). This GPU supports DirectX 12 (feature level 12_1).
Have a peek, we will update our Core i5 6600K and Core i7 6700K reviews soon with info.

Intel Skylake-U Ultra Low Power Processor Lineup Leaks - 08/12/2015 09:22 AM
Some interesting slides have surfaced on the web on the Skylake-U series, U for Ultra Low Power and thus the 14nm CPUs that end up in laptops, small form factor and mobile devices. The dual-core chi...
Intel Skylake Core i7 6700K De-lidded and tested - 08/10/2015 08:37 AM
PC Watch removed the heatspreader of a Core i7 6700K processor, and yeah 14nm shows a small processor alright. The substrate Intel uses is slimmer than the one on the i7-4770K (0.8 mm versus 1.1 mm)....
Noctua Offers Free Mounting Upgrade for Upcoming Intel Skylake Platform - 08/03/2015 04:43 PM
Okay, this is an attempt of hyping something over nothing to gain some media coverage as Socket 1155/1156/1150 and soon 1151 all have the same mounting design for processors. Ah well, we'll play as i...

Intel Skylake Core i7-6700K Versus Core i7-4790K CPU Benchmarks - 07/22/2015 08:29 AM
Over at the Chinese area I guess an NDA has no meaning. Benchmark results of a Core i7-6700K have been posted, they have been matched against a Core i7-4790K. The CPU performance results are pretty ...

If only Intel would remove the graphics processor, there would be room for 4 extra CPU cores...

And it's not that simple (I assume).
Either way, 90%+ (and I'm being on the low-side) of people buying a CPU (or a system with a CPU) are going to be using the iGPU. You already have an enthusiast platform without the iGPU, leave the mainstream alone.

it is true... but the chipset cannot handle it (source intel ark)
for more than 4 the only solution for now is to go to the E branch (where there is no limit of core)... they will not kill the golden egg's hen

Yup intel segments the market, 8 core is enthusiast, x99 is enthusiast, z170 is mainstream 6600k is mainstream(although the high end up mainstream). No reason for them to change when AMD doesn't compete with them at all in enthusiast market and at high end mainstream.
