Intel Core i7 8xxxU Proc Die Shots
Intel has released some die shot photos of their latest Kaby Lake-R processors. This news-item has been updated as initially I figured the photos to be Coffee lake with up-to 6 cores, however the photos released clearly show todays released and announced 4-core parts.
Still funny to look at, a total of four Core i5 and Core i7 8xxxU are being released today. Have a peek at the thumbnails to look at the die and wafer.

Well if it's a U processor it's not surprising, those used to be dual-core.

Title on main page says U processor now. That makes more sense. Original just said 8th gen die shot.
