Intel Shows possible Arc A780 Desktop GPU Specs in Video

Intel Shows possible Arc A780 Desktop GPU Specs in Video

3DCenter noticed an interesting fact about Intel's discrete desktop Arc GPU. The specs of a separate desktop GPU may have been displayed for a short second in Intel's official Arc Control presentation video.

Intel's new GPU monitoring software for Arc Alchemist and Xe Iris discrete GPUs is called Arc Control. The presentation highlights the new software's features, such as its new Performance Tab for GPU monitoring and some rudimentary overclocking. During the video, Arc Control's Live Performance Monitoring feature revealed GPU and VRAM clocks for one of its upcoming GPUs, as well as GPU power. The Arc A780 is the current consensus-based on all of the specs.

The issue is that neither the Arc A350M, which can potentially boost to 2,250 MHz, nor the Arc A770M mobile part meets the 175 W GPU power requirement. Given the parameters presented thus far, the VRAM clock speed of 1093 MHz predicts a memory throughput of 17.5 Gbps. An Intel high-end CPU with this memory bandwidth is faster than a GeForce RTX 3070 with 14 Gbps. It's also possible that we're looking at a development card, in which case we'll have to wait until the summer to see what Intel has in store.

Can't wait to see mining results. Will take some pain away from NVIDIA and AMD.

I believe high-end ARC-780 will do quite well, despite all the naysayers on other forums.
Timing may not be on it's side, given that both AMD and Nvidia plan to release much faster cards from their next generation in very close proximity.
You can bet both of those companies are rushing to finish those cards as we speak to minimize the impact that an 'ARC only' release would cause.
They know if Intel can sell a bunch of these at lower costs, it exposes future potential buyers to another option they might not have previously considered.
If high-end ARC is $400-500, it will be my next card...provided it is easy to get and I don't have to jump through hoops. I don't do that.
I like what I am seeing in the feature set.
I need one mostly for WMR.
