Intel released a teaser for its next ARC desktop graphics card

Following the mobile Arc GPU unveiling, Intel revealed its first desktop Arc graphics card in a YouTube video. The card just states "Intel ARC Limited Edition," but shows the looks of the graphic card.

Based on the animated picture, we'd assume this is a high-end model because it appears to include eight memory ICs and four heat pipes for cooling. Two fans can be seen in the video, however, their installation is unusual for most graphics cards.

However, it is unclear if this is a functional rear cover or only for cosmetic purposes. There are also DisplayPort and HDMI ports. The clip concludes with the promise that the new cards would be available in the summer of 2022. The card is tagged as a limited edition ..

I wonder if that 3D animation was created by using a workstation powered by Intel Arc. Maybe it's early for that, and it was still sporting Nvidia graphics.

"Limited Edition"

The only reason to ever make a limited production is when you don't expect to sell that many.
This is going to go down like the Matrox Parhelia.
