Intel publishes list of incompatible games with Alder Lake (due to DRM)

It's a known fact that some games have performance issues with Alder lake processors, this has everything to do with DRM copy protections versus the energy cores on these CPUs. As a result, intel published list of affected games.

An Intel statement mentions that the hybrid CPU core design of Alder Lake may be incompatible with certain games, notably those protected by Denuvo's anti-piracy DRM software and that the company is investigating the issue. A study of the Core i9-12900K proved this when we attempted to run the hit AAA Ubisoft title Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, which was part of our processor test suite and got excluded. The game would fail midway through the test run, or it would simply not boot up at all, depending on the configuration.

This list will be updated as patches are released.

bonus points if anyone names the game this was for

Jet Set Willy :p

The biggest DRM in the game i think is that the original version released had a bug that you couldn't actually complete the game!

My favorite form of DRM are the ones that stop you from playing the video game you paid money for once you install said video game too many times over 5 years.

I think the only game I own the runs the crap called Denuvo is DeusEX:Mankind Divided.

Never been fan of DRM and never will it does more harm then good to people that actual PAY for said game that use the stuff, Fact that they hamper performance and loading times is just to much, Miss the old days of King quest, Spacequest and other such games. DRM was simple and did not EFFECT game performance what so ever.

Ehh… probably going to wait to upgrade, maybe 2nd gen, or when this is completely resolved. I play old games and don’t want this crap effecting that at all.

Pretty big f up on Intel’s behalf really.
