Intel Outs NUC 13 Extreme Mini PC

The NUC 13 Extreme comes with unlocked 13th Gen Intel Core desktop processors and space for new triple-slot, 12-inch graphics cards to provide enthusiast gamers and video makers even more power.

Intel unveiled the new Intel NUC 13 Extreme Kit (codenamed Raptor Canyon) and Intel NUC 13 Extreme Compute Element today, combining to create the most powerful Intel NUC ever created.

"This year marks the 10-year anniversary for our impressive lineup of Intel NUC products, and the Intel NUC 13 Extreme (code named Raptor Canyon) is an excellent representation of how far we've come. Our first ever NUC demonstrated a breakthrough in the miniaturization of a small desktop PC into an ultra-small PC form factor. While much larger than our tiniest mini-PC, our latest Intel NUC 13 Extreme sets a new bar for how to pack stellar gaming performance in a form factor that is 70% smaller than a typical 50L gaming tower. Along with the epic performance you expect from an Intel NUC product, we also deliver exceptional product quality and feature density in a completely modular and customizable design," said Brian McCarson, Intel Vice President and General Manager of the Intel NUC Group.

The Intel NUC 13 Extreme combines an optimised thermal design with unprecedented performance and features. The new chassis optimises airflow to reduce noise and throttling during intense gaming and heavy workloads, all while retaining the tiny NUC footprint. With up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i9 desktop processor with eight Performance-cores (P-cores) and 16 Efficient-cores (E-cores), 32 threads, and a maximum turbo frequency of 5.8 GHz, the modular Intel NUC 13 Extreme achieves remarkable speed. The NUC 13 Extreme has all of the extra capabilities and connectivity that gamers require, including:

  • Support for up to 64 GB dual-channel DDR5-5600 MHz SODIMMs.
  • Support for PCIe Gen5 x16 new triple-slot 12" graphics cards.
  • Support for up to three PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSDs (M.2 2280).
  • Intel 2.5 GbE (i226-V) / 10GbE (AQC113) LAN.
  • Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E.
  • Two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
  • Six USB 3.2 Gen2 rear ports.

The Intel NUC 13 Extreme is anticipated to debut in China in the first quarter of 2022, followed by a wider rollout in the fourth quarter of 2022 and into early 2023. Depending on the configuration, the Intel NUC 13 Extreme Kit will cost between $1179 and $1549, and the Intel NUC 13 Extreme Compute Element will cost between $760 and $1100. Users can configure their RAM, storage, and operating system to meet their demands.

finally!

my only concern is how loud that squirrel cage blower is going to be...

if i was Corsair i would be implementing a 140mm aio and put it in a bling worthy case, they could get away with it quite well

It seems that its copying the old AMD product that never got released (the one with Dual Fiji) and also the later one Minisforum shows off its Mini-PC with AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX APU, Radeon RX 6650M GPU and liquid metal for both - VideoCardz.com

It cannot even come close to this one lmao

Are those two 120mm Delta fans or how is it supposed to stay cool?

If it will be like it's predecessor, it will get a 3rd part passive near silent box (the Akasa one do the job even OC and is usefull on winter :) lol)
