Intel NUCs with 28W processors and Iris Plus 655 GPU appear
Intel will be releasing five NUCs based on an 28W processor. They all have an Iris Plus Graphics 655 GPU on board with 128MB edram. Five models are mentioned on the on the slide but these are actually three versions and two variants of them.
The NUC8i7BEH is the new flagship model with a Coffee Lake based Core i7-8559U. Also a NUC8i5BEK with a Core i5-8295U is an option. Both processors are quad cores with HyperThreading. The Core i7 model spins up to 4.5 GHz while the Core i5 does 3.8 GHz. The NUC8i3BEK is the value variant and includes a dual-core Core i3-8109U (with HyperThreading) and turbo speed of up to 3.6GHz. The Coffee Lake based NUC will also get Intel's Iris Plus Graphics 655 and 128 MB eDRAM. Intel announced the 28W processors in the new NUCs in April. The arrival of the new NUCs appears was spotted by FanlessTech.

Yes, the eDRAM gave it a performance boost in many cases; latest IGP 7700K still isn't faster than the IGP in broadwell

Isnt this edram what made broadwell's igp somewhat decent compared to other intel igp's?
