Intel Might Drop Desktop processor Prices by 15% To Fight off AMD Ryzen 3000

Processors, the fun thing with the competition is that it has an effect on development rates and sure money. AMD soon will release Ryzen series 3000 and guess what? Intel is lowering prices on their processors, some by 15%

Intel is facing the harsh fact that they are losing their edge and competitiveness towards AMD. Intel is planning to cut prices of its eighth- and ninth-generation desktop processors by 10-15% and has already notified its downstream PC and motherboard partners, according to sources from motherboard players. It will be interesting to see what effect it will have on say a Core i9 9900K, currently that one sits around 500 USD. If the 15% actually takes effect you're looking at 425 USD, of course with a dozen or so free vulnerabilities.
