Despite speculation regarding the possible discontinuation of the anticipated Meteor Lake-S desktop series, the latest device featured on Intel's website seemingly verifies earlier leaks about the LGA-1851 socket's name. Although the product's specific function remains uncertain, it is likely a component of an intricate testing apparatus that streamlines the process of gathering processor power delivery test data.

A leak from @SquashBionic reveals that the forthcoming Core-S lineup will comprise both Meteor Lake-S CPUs and Arrow Lake-S. According to the chart showcasing the series, Meteor Lake-S will be available up to the Core i5 series with a 65W power limit, while the Core i9 series will rely on Arrow Lake-S. Both products will share the LGA-1851 socket. Moreover, both products have been confirmed to necessitate VR phase requirements nearly identical to those of the LGA-1700 platform, in addition to the Intel 800 series chipset. The new platform will exclusively accommodate DDR5 memory, thereby discontinuing support for hybrid DDR4/5 systems.
