Intel Larrabee might be delayed to Summer 2011
You know, this again is a rumor and it surfaced at the premises of Tom's Hardware so we can't vouch for it. They speculate that the up and coming Intel Larrabee GPU would go to market summer 2011, and thus is delayed big-time. No apparent reason is given for this though.
Also we noticed that the Larrabee GPU would measure a whopping 971 square millimeters if the chip was to be produced at 45nm. To get you an idea, you guys know how big NVIDIA's GT200 series GPUs are right ? Well, this would make the chip about 65 percent bigger than NVIDIA's GT200 (GTX 260/275/285).
As such it might be the case that Larrabee is to be made on a 32nm process and that would shrink the chip's size to around 650mm
