Intel Kaby Lake processors Prices Surface In Webshops

While Intel Kaby Lake processors will not be available until early January 2017, they already went on pre-order at some webshops. Here in the Netherlands. For example a Core i7 7700K will sell at € 434,-

There are two webshops in the Netherlands listing the prices, I have picked the one with the lowest prices, which is centralpoint. If I quickly handpick the more popular models then a Core i5 7600K would cost you 300 euro and the 7700k would cost you 434 euro. below an overview with links to the shop.

Kaby LakePrice
Core i5 7400 € 235
Core i5 7500 € 253
Core i5 7600 € 277
Core i5 7600K € 301
Core i7 7700 € 386
Core i7 7700K € 434

Mind you that if you visit the shop, the big orange prices are excluding VAT, under it you can read the value (as noted in the chart) inclusive of VAT. Likely prices around launch time will drop a notch more to normalized values, but overall that's what you looking at.

Intersting to note is that the shop is mentioning expected stock availability at Saturday December 10th, 2016.

Untill some massive breakthrew happens where Mutli core/thread used properly ON EVERY piece software not some, not half ALL. I think my 6700k will die before I upgrade again STP is still king in this day which is sad. and I dont think even dx12 will changes this, cause it still require devs to program software to use it right and we still see more time then not there not willing to do that. and even STP is not enough to over come horrible programing in alot cases.

What good is 12c/24t if 80% of them sit there do nothing, and and have even worse STP then 4c/8t. yah its got better but not enough to warrant caring more about multithread over stp atlest not in my eyes.

Intel needs to get wake up call from AMD and its ZEN ( here is hoping) and actual start to deliever and not stupid prices, cause there no competition
Actually, if devs correctly write applications as multithreaded it does not really matter much if it run on 4 or 8 core, basics are still same. Main problem is that DX11 itself is not able utilize more than 6 cores (4 effectively) and that's mitigated in DX12.
I am not saying that this year 4 core still does not have advantage in most of the situations, but this is going to change in next 2 years and those of us that buy new HW to last us 4-6 years have way better value from getting 6/8 core CPUs, especially when its price is supposedly so close to intel quadcore.

I'm not buying a single quad core processor for my desktop pc. >400 € is ludicrous price for something like that. Heck, it's probably one of their smallest quad core i7 pricessors to date and even the manufacturing process should be mature. These prices do not make any sense.
