Intel Introduces new processors incl Core i7 4771 and core i5 4440

Intel today added some new processors SKU's to their lineup of desktop processors. The new additions are mostly energy friendly models including a 3.5 GHz Core i7-4771. There are also four new Core i5 processors all priced at $182 (two are Haswell based and two are Ivy Bridge CPUs).

In the Core i3 side there are some changes as well as five Pentiums introduced plus and a handful of Ivy Bridge-based Celerons. These processors cover a price range that starts at $42 (for the low-power Celeron G1620T) and tops $314 (for the Core i7-4771).

Have a peek at the price and model list as spotted on the web today.

Looks like Intel is downgrading CPU line, cause AMD cannot go faster.
4 cores and treads are so OLD.

Oh FFS, fix the lineup already!

Now we are going to have Pentium and Celeron brands intermixing Haswell and Bay Trail processors. That, and the number line up is friggin gibberish, no other way to put it.

that naming scheme is horrible, ideally an enthusiast should be able to differentiate the different classes by sight. not this horrible mess
