Intel DG1 Xe graphics card is Alive

Intel shared its Q3 2019 financials, that info we'll bypass however the transcript points out something far more interesting than their financials, Chief Executive Officer Bob Swan, told investors that Intel has powered on the Intel Xe DG1 graphics card for the first time in the lab.

Intel CEO said that an Intel Xe discrete GPU card has successfully powered on in the labs. They still expect the first availability to be in the latter half of 2020. Swann added that Intel is on track to deliver a 7nm GPU in 2021 and is "well down the engineering path" for 5nm production, he reports.

Its not only nvidia. AMD have some competitive pruducts and hopefuly it will continue to fight nvidia and intel. If i recall you had Vega64 as well.

I did yeah, but Vega was primarily a compute etc... card, that you could also game on.

Their last PC gaming card, was the Fury, Polaris, was for the VR market, Vega, for the Compute etc..., and LAVI, was designed for the consoles.

Some performance numbers would be appreciated...

Xe is waiting for real world apps, which are not yet present.

Honestly pretty excited for this. Intel definitely has the capital to make something great, with some key names in their pocket to help.
