You all will have noticed that AMD's Ryzen 5000 is seeing a pretty significant price premium, all processors have gotten an uplift of 50 USD per proc seen over the current generation. And that opens up a competitive windows for Intel.

Intel would be willing to engage a fight with its Rocket Lake-S processors. A new leak (and it is just that) indicates that price could be a key competitive factor for the next generation of CPUs.

Leaker Raichu shared information on upcoming Intel processors on Twitter. He indicates that both the Core i9 and the 11th generation Core i7 will arrive with a configuration of 8 cores and 16 threads.  The most important data he mentions is price: it seems that we will have an Intel Core i7 with a cost below $400 dollars. He indicates that the price could settle around $349 or $379, a significant difference compared to the $449 that the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X costs.

On the other hand, the Intel Core i5 would have 6 cores and 12 processing threads for a price below $300, being a direct competitor to the Ryzen 5 5600X that costs $ 299. Of course, this should be considered as a rumor, and as such the information should be treated like that.
