We've been a bit weary for this, but the Core i9 9900K that was announced yesterday might be in short supply during its launch on the 19th. High demand at 14nm and low volume are going to boost up prices. Here in the Netherlands the first webshops now have the proc on preorder.
So these are still the pre-order prices, but Alternate is pretty popular in the EU. Now, I expected that the 488 USD processor would convert to roughly EUR 549 here in the EU. However, due to the aforementioned reasons, the asking price seems higher. Two webshops are listing the proc at the same price, and alternate and azerty is listing it at a steep EUR 649.
Core i9 9900K will become available starting October 19th.
