Intel Core i9-11900K ES and Core i7-11700 ES prices leaked in china

Over at Chiphell prices of ES based Core i9-11900K ES and Core i7-11700 have popped up. Take them with a grain of salt of course, but considering the leaker also has been posting CPU-Z screenshots of the [products, it might be legit.

Unlike seen in previous leaks, the i9-11900K ES appears to have a base frequency of 3.4 GHz and a turbo of 4.8 GHz. The previously rumored specs showed a base frequency of 3.5 GHz and a turbo of up to 5.3 GHz, however, it is not what is displayed in CPU-Z. You can make not of the fact that it is a K-series CPU as it shows a 125W TDP.

As for the i9-11900 and i7-11700, both CPUs show a base clock of 1.8 GHz, with a maximum clock of 4.4 GHz for the 11900, while their TDP is also 65W.

According to the leaker, these samples were purchased for $450 for the i9-11900K, $ 350 for the i9-11900, and $245 for the i7-11700. ES are Engineering samples, early samples that for example motherboard manufacturers can use to test their products.

Looks good, especially that 11700k is supposed to be 10-15% faster than 5800x.

Geekbench
"The Core i7-11700K is an 8-core and 16-thread CPU, similarly to 10700K. The clock speeds actually appear to be lower (3.6 GHz/5.0 GHz) compared to Comet Lake (3.8 GHz/5.1 GHz), however, that did not prevent the CPU from being 34% and 19% faster in single and multi-core benchmark."

If the 11700K handily outperforms the 5800X and supports PCIe 4.0, I might switch to Intel for the first time in nearly 20 years. But, if AMD drops the price of the 5800X to something more competitive and has a lower overall wattage, I think I'll get that instead. I care more about efficiency than total performance.

Right now difference is huge in terms performance/watt in AMD favour , 11th gen won't change that , that is why they are max 8 core.

Will it be on 10nm? Because if it is, that could possibly turn the efficiency in Intel's favor.
