Intel Core i7-4770K clocked to 7068.52MHz

In a press-release MSI informs us that a new overclocking record has been set with its Z87 XPOWER motherboard. The Overclocking Knights managed to overclock Intel's Core i7-4770K to a wwhopping 7068.52MHz! The new Z87 XPOWER, the top of the line overclocking motherboard recently broke all previous overclocking records for the Intel Core i7-4770K by validating a smashing 7068.52 MHz clock speed. All previous records were set on Engineering samples unavailable to normal users and the Z87 XPOWER record was set on a Retail CPU available in stores right now. This latest score puts MSI firmly at the top of Z87 Overclocking leaderboards.

The new Z87 XPOWER, the top of the line overclocking motherboard recently broke all previous overclocking records for the Intel® Core™ i7-4770K by validating a smashing 7068.52 MHz clock speed. All previous records were set on Engineering samples unavailable to normal users and the Z87 XPOWER record was set on a Retail CPU available in stores right now. This latest score puts MSI firmly at the top of Z87 Overclocking leaderboards.

With the continuation of the design principles of the Z77 MPOWER, which are: Easy Overclocking and Top Stability, MSI Z87 Overclocking series features record holding motherboards such as the Z87 MPOWER, Z87 MPOWER SP, Z87 MPOWER MAX and Z87 XPOWER. In fact 2 out of 3 the fastest Z87 Motherboards on HWBot.org are MSI Z87 OC motherboards. This includes the highest clock-speed for a retail processor. This extreme performance stems from OC Certified testing principle, the use of Military Class 4 components and the integration of the MSI/Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility.

No one has asked you to read it.

On topic, no one will remember this "awesome clock" on CPU crippled in half two days from now. If someone could achive to run that beast on similar clock with all cores enabled that will be something to remember. Until then I don't give a damn about useless OC records like this.
so much hate, but hey your post was readable this time

There is no facts in your statement only opinion. and its not shared by most enthusiasts.
Whats the difference in a cpuz on all cores or just some?

Wicked OC! I get what CrazY_Milojko is saying but I'm pretty sure as soon as pro clockers, like these dudes, get their hands on chips that CAN do it with 4 or more cores + HT on they will. It's all for the love of fun after all.

Yeah, good luck with having a stable system 24/7 with that clock.
I always laugh at these kind of "records".
This is like making a size 12 shoes for someone who has size 10....pretty pointless.

What's the point of laughing at people testing the limits? It's in human nature, even if it doesn't produce tangible benefits. This isn't much different from building a 2000 horsepower car for drag racing. You do it because you can, and because it's fun.
