Intel Core i7-13700K reached 6.18 GHz with overclock
With a single thread, the unreleased Intel Core i7-13700K processor reached over a thousand points on the CPU-Z benchmark this week. The overclock was accomplished by setting the eight performance cores to almost 6,200 MHz and the eight efficiency cores to 4,200 MHz.
The Raptor Lake CPU was installed on a DDR4 memory-equipped Asus Z690 ROG Strix A motherboard. Since hyperthreading was deactivated, CPU-Z displays just 16 threads. According to unofficial data gathered thus far, this model has 24 threads. The engineering sample of i7-13700K obtained 1009.9 points in single thread and 11877 points in multithreaded performance with all threads. Leaks indicate that, with this overclock, the CPU outperforms the 13th generation's flagship processor, the i9-13900K. According to the leaker, Raptor Lake CPUs are compatible with voltages of 1.3V and may be cooler than existing Alder Lake processors. The i7-13700K in this instance was set with a voltage of 1,536V. Unfortunately, neither the cooling system nor the temperatures were disclosed.
According to speculations, the unveiling of the Intel Core Raptor Lake CPUs will take happen during the September 28 Intel innovation event, and the launch will occur several weeks later.

Cough my 11900kf goes 330 watts, I actually use it as a heater no joke. And a 3090 pulling 400-500watts makes my room heat up great in the winter. Right now in the CA vally heat no AC running 5.3ghz on this pos intel maxing out at 85+C on all the cores 1.4 voltage. If I could only get a de-lid done on this momma I could hit 5.5GHZ on water ez. But at like 400+watts LOL!!!

The single core CPU-Z score is quite impressive, however I am interested in how the CPU was cooled, either LN2,air cooled,AIO water cooled or custom water cooled. As we all know, open pot LN2 systems are not designed for continuous use, just setting overclock records. I would also like to know what the TDP was as well.

Ln2 could have clocked it way higher. Maybe Phase Change Cooler could do that, but you may need Dry Ice or a Cascade Phase Change. I'd be shocked if it was ambient cooling.

They should make a single core chip just for shiggles to OC and lets see how high it can go
