Materials obtained through leaks confirm that the Core i3-12100F will have four cores and eight threads based on Alder Lake, which was a common design for a high-end CPU just a few years ago. It will be capable of boosting up to 4.3 GHz, which is in line with earlier leaks and speculation.
Videocardz snagged a slide in which it is uncovered. There are no surprises with the Core i5-12400F or the Core i7-12700F processors, though. These first two will be the first desktop Alder Lake SKUs without Efficient cores. In terms of cores and threads, the first CPU has six cores and twelve threads, which indicates that it is most likely the complete implementation of the second Alder Lake desktop silicon type (known as H0). The i7-12700F will have specifications that are identical to those of the already-released K model, with the exception of a lower frequency and TDP. The Performance cores will be able to boost up to 4.9 GHz, which is 100 MHz lower than the previous generation 12700K. Following the official CES 2022 conference, we expect those and a slew of other Alder Lake processors to be released in January.
