Intel Core 9x00 Processor Prices Listed at Singapore Distributor
We've seen some early price leaks on the Core i5 and i7 9000 series processors a couple of times already, however things are starting to solidify a bit more as distributor BizGram in Singapore is listing the new procs in a flyer.
Now a couple of things first, the prices that you see listed are from Singapore, that means these are listed at SGD, we'll need to convert that. Next, to that, this is a distributor, who sells their stuff to retailers, e.g. Now I can only assume that local VAT needs to be added to the prices:
That said, here we go converted to USD.
- Core i3-9350K is listed at 252 SGD = $189.99
- Core i5-9600K is listed at 370 SGD = $269.99
- Core i7-9700K listed at 518 SGD= $379.99
- Core i9-9900K listed at 666 SGD = $479.99.
Also, interesting to see is the 9350K. The snapshot also once again confirms cores and threads.

And gamers are still a little portion of the CPU segment. Not to speak of high refresh gamers within gamers. Most of the players take a balanced setup, meaning maybe <1% of the gamers use a 1080 or 1080Ti on FHD.

Hyperthreading does the complete opposite of what you said lol. It makes games run faster and smoother, not by a huge amount but it does.
To anyone passing through these comments, please don't listen to this guy. Hyperthreading has been around for years, and never once have I seen someone complain about it.
Just search the internet for if hyperthreading reduces performance and you'll get your answer.

HT did hurt some applications/games somewhat when said application did not know how to deal with SMT.
This was commonplace years ago.
Today, yes, it usually does not hurt performance or help, but some games do like SMT like battlefield series

I can already tell you that Zen 2 will be far slower than 8700K in high fps / CPU bound gaming.
I expect AMD to double core count on 7nm chips. Low clocks again. 200-300 MHz higher maybe. Arch is not geared for high clocks. It's made for scalability and high core/thread count. This is NOT what games are looking for.
I think that games need to be programmed to be like what they want.
I bet there are part of a frame that can be created ahead, even with different output if you decide to use more cores.
So more core count is what games in 2018 and 2019 are not looking for, but the future can be written

i7-9700K is going to be a gaming king.
Rememer that HT and SMT lowers gaming performance in 99.9% of games. Same thing happends on Ryzen. Performance increase with SMT OFF. Go check out Gamers Nexus for proof. They most often include both SMT ON and OFF in their game tests. Also HT on / off sometimes. Performance are always worse with HT/SMT enabled.
