Intel Coffee Lake 6-core CPU-Z screenshot Surfaces

Leave it to Asia based websites to leak stuff, a fist CPU-Z screenshot of an Intel Coffee Lake (8th gen) six-core processor just surfaced on the web and looking at the hardware registers, it shows is indeed is based on a LGA1151 socket but also shows the fact that it'll be based on a TDP of 80W.

The screenshot obviously is based upon an engineering which would have a base clock of 3.5 GHz. Most interesting obviously is the Turbo, and since the multiplier is set at a maximum of 43, thus processor will be running at least two if its six cores at 4300 MHz when it is boosting. The unit has a 12MB L3 cache.

Earlier on Canard PC suggested this SKU would be called the Core i7-8700K, but would be based on a 3.7 GHz base frequency, with the i5-8600 at a base clock of 3.6 GHz. So this processor seems to be a different one.

Being sleepy and writing articles can be a deadly combination :)

Looks great, took Intel 6 years and a bit of persuasion from the competition to finally give us 6 cores. Now, let's embrace the over priced parts! :puke2:
