Intel Braswell (Atom) released in Q1 2015

Intels upcoming Atom replacement build under codename Braswell system-on-a-chip (SoC) is dubbed for an announcement in January 2015 already. The new low power chip will be based on 14nm technology and will see two adn four core models.  Braswell will include an eight-generation graphics IGP with support for DirectX 11 interface and up-to three display devices. 



The chip will be compatibel with 64-bit instructions. The Processors series will follow-up Bay Trail, designed for cheap laptops like “Chromebooks.” and small form factor NAS, servers, desktops and systems for emerging markets.

Braswell, is expected to be released January 2015 and will be compatible with Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Android, Chrome OS, and Linux.
