Intel Atom Pineview Pixelized

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 06/11/2009 09:13 AM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Yesterday we talked about the new Intel Atom Pineview processor (N450). We spotted a photo of it. This chip will be used in the Pineview-M netbook platform in Q4 2009, it's clocked at 1.66GHz and features 512KB L2 cache.

The platform is bundled with the NM10 Express chipset and this dual-chip solution is roughly 2.8x smaller than the Diamondville-M platform's 3-chip solution. The new platform supports DDR2-667 memory and will use the Intel GMA 500 integrated graphics. The TDP has been dropped from 16W to 7W, while the average power consumption has been halved to 2W.
