Intel has announced the latest additions to its Intel Arc Pro A-series professional GPUs, namely the Intel Arc Pro A60 and Pro A60M.

These new products offer significant performance improvements within the Intel Arc Pro GPU lineup, specifically tailored for professional workstation users. The GPUs boast up to 12 GB of video memory (VRAM) and support for four displays with high dynamic range (HDR) and Dolby Vision compatibility. Equipped with built-in ray tracing hardware, graphics acceleration, and machine learning capabilities, the Intel Arc Pro A60 GPU delivers seamless viewports, cutting-edge visual technologies, and robust content creation capabilities in a traditional single-slot form factor.

Why It Matters: The introduction of Intel Arc Pro A-series graphics presents a fresh option in the workstation GPU market. Compared to existing Intel Arc Pro products, the Intel Arc Pro A60 and A60M provide twice the number of PCIe lanes at 16, double the memory bandwidth at 384 gigabytes per second, double the dedicated AI Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX) engines at 256, and twice the number of ray tracing units at 16. Additionally, they offer comprehensive media encode and decode support, including AV1. These features position Intel Arc Pro GPUs as highly suitable for computer-aided design and modeling (CAD/CAM), AI inferencing tasks, and media processing in dedicated business environments. Intel Arc Pro GPUs receive quarterly driver releases for regular performance optimization and are ISV-certified by leading workstation applications utilized in architecture, engineering, construction, design, and manufacturing industries. Some notable certified applications include Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Maya, Bentley MicroStation, Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS, Nemetscheck VectorWorks, PTC Creo, Siemens NX, and Siemens Solid Edge. These workstation GPUs from Intel are also optimized for media and entertainment applications like Blender and leverage rendering and ray tracing libraries in the Intel oneAPI Rendering Toolkit, enabling the creation of high-performance, visually immersive experiences at scale.

Availability: The Intel Arc Pro A60 GPU for workstation desktops will soon be accessible through authorized Intel distributors, while the Intel Arc Pro A60M GPU for mobile systems is expected to be available from original equipment manufacturers (OEM) partners in the upcoming months. HP currently offers additional workstation designs featuring the Intel Arc Pro A40 GPU, with Dell and Lenovo slated to join in the third quarter of 2023. The Intel Arc Pro GPU family is validated for use with Intel NUC 13 Extreme small form factor (SFF) PCs, which feature 125W unlocked 13th Gen Intel Core processors. Intel Arc Pro desktop products are accompanied by a three-year limited warranty.
