Intel accidentally posts 9th gen H-series specs online

Intel had a bit of a boo-boo moment yesterday as they published the specifications for the 9th generation Core series H processors. The Core i9-9980HK will be the flagship model, but will also be the only overclockable mobile processor.

The Core i9-9980HK processor has 16 MB L3 cache on-boards and reaches a feisty 5 GHz. The non-overclockable i9-9880H has as much L3 as the previous model reaches 4.8 GHz.

Intel placed a document online yesterday, listing the next generation H-processors. The document has now been altered now, but anything posted on the web stays there. There are also i7-9850H and i7-9750H procs each with 12 MB of L3 cache and a maximum clock speed of 4.6 GHz for the highest clocked SKU. The i5-9400H and i5-9300H have 8 MB L3 cache and are clocked 4.3 GHz versus 4.1 GHz. These are all turbo bins, of course, likely one or two threads.

The number of cores in the processors looks to be similar to the desktop line-up, eight cores for the i9s and i7s, six for the i5s. It is not yet known when the new mobile procs will see the light of day, but apparently, they're not far away from an official release.
