Well, after Comets  .. meteors .. why not? Intel is paving the desktop road with Comet and Rocket Lake, the following series would, or rather, could be Meteor Lake.

Twitter phenomenon Komachi has found information about the name of the following micro-architecture for processors, Meteor Lake. He derived the info from some driver files where the name was embedded. Meteor Lake (MTL) is Intel's successor to Alder Lake, a 7 nm microarchitecture for mainstream workstations, desktops, and mobile devices.

That's all though there is to mention and see though. Though it's all too early to tell, likely Meteor Lake would be the pending 7nm processors series, that or Intel jumps straight to 5nm of course. Meteor Lake chips would adopt a new architecture for the CPU cores. In a recent conference (December) it was shared that Intel's 7nm node would arrive in 2021, with an improved version of this process (7nm+) a year later. The information shared in this news item remains speculation of the highest level though.
