They had a good run, and it's time to let it go. Intel will be discontinuing (EOL) some 2015 Skylake processors in the Celeron, Pentium, Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 ranges. Kaby Lake (Refresh) and Coffee Lake (Refresh)of course remain in production.

Some of the processors are mainly used by OEMs including the Core i5-6500 and i7-6700, the i5-6600K and i7-6700K (which actually already had been discontinued in 2017). The smallest Core i3-6100, as well as the Celeron G3900, still have an extended lifecycle beyond 6 March 2020 due to their use in the embedded sector.

The following processors from all price ranges are discontinued:

  • Celeron G3900, G3900T, G3920
  • Pentium G4400, G4400T, G4500, G4500T, G4520
  • Core i3-6100, 6100T, 6300, 6300T, 6320
  • Core i5-6400, 6400T, 6500T, 6600, 6600T
  • Core i7-6700T
