Cyberpunk 2077 / GeForce RTX 4090 runs up to 2850 MHz / 50C temperatures
Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p on its crazy settings preset, with DLSS, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 apparently boosts up to 2.8 GHz (2810 to 2850 MHz) at factory settings.
The RTX 4090 achieves 59 frames per second at native resolution (49 at 1% lows) with a 72–75 milliseconds frame time. Graphics processing unit (GPU) temperatures are observed in the region of 50 to 55 °C. The average latency drops to 53 ms and the frame rate increases by nearly twice to 119 FPS (1% lows) when DLSS 3 is activated. Since latency has been cut in half, this amounts to a net increase of two times the frame rate. It is also claimed that the energy consumption has been cut down considerably. DLSS "quality" 3 reduces power consumption by 25%, from 461 W while rendering at native resolution to 348 W.

The shift in workload from the FP32 cores to the tensor cores, which execute the DLSS algorithms, likely contributes to the power numbers. Instead of using the entire GPU for brute force, which is inefficient and drains more power, the specialized tensor cores at these talks can analyze the data far more quickly and efficiently, all while using less power. We can't wait to get our hands on some review samples of DLSS 3 and see if it truly is a game-changer.

Mr. Bean, played by Rowan Atkinson, was inserted into "Cyberpunk 2077" and fits in quite well! The portion with the middle finger was simply too perfect!:-) ...

I just researched the Cosmos 2. Very attractive with tons of airflow. Extremely nice case indeed. It has everything. The Helios I found is the Gundam version. I have a soft spot for Robotech and Gundam. I have a few days left if I decide to return it. The Haf 700 is grabbing my attention because I like the design. That is a Cosmos level case.
So are you saying you personally have 9 fans or the case is capable? If so, you have some serious airflow.
Im not running it with as many fans as you can - i find that the airflow works better when it passive draws air from the bottom side vents on both sides of the case (when you hold your hand on the vents, you can feel alot of air moving). But yeah, alot of airflow, and temps are great... my 3090 strix with stock settings maxes out at 66c and my cpu at about 60c. And it still has room for my bluray drive, which is important to me

I get that you like the helios if you are a gundam fan

Lol nvidia keep using cyberpunk2077 as the main testing subject due to the game itself still very unstable by it core coding.
haha exactly this, it's being tweaked and fixed up for just the DLSS 3.0 they need to make their tech look like its actually progressing right?
I agree... if nvidia felt extremely confident about their situation and their competition with amd, the 4090 would have been priced higher.
And honestly, non of the "4080" cards are proper x80 cards. It's more like x70 and x60.
Even higher post crypto... wtf are you smoking. The 4000 series will be faster than the 3000's if it wasn't then Nvidia would look like trash, and every company would.
But even higher prices? haha if AMD comes out with something that is "close" to the 4000 series then Nvidia is just fucked with their current pricing. It only has to be $50 - $100 less. Nvidia won't be selling out for too long with these 4000 series cards. Shelves are ready to be full and full for a long time. If they are still sold out in 2 months that just means Nvidia limited how many they are making because they dont want what happened too the 3000 series to happen to the 4000 series.

Spending $2500 USD on a graphics card that will only yield 15-20% RAW (NONE OF THIS DLSS 3.0 SHIT) performance over the previous gen is crazy.
Hell stores are doing deals on a bunch of 3000 cards, people who waited for an upgrade are now buying 3000 cards.
Nvidia is playing the market, it's a smart move. All the impatient people who buy straight up are just giving Nvidia free money while the people who wait will buy it at the correct pricing. I will feel stupid buying at $2500 USD and only 6-8 months later its $2000, which is going to happen.

I have to make up my mind by Thursday if I'm going to return the Helios. You're right. The Haf 700 is a better case. The Helios is just so darn attractive to me. I'm going to look at the Haf 700 pics again and make my final decision.
I do miss having a Bluray drive in my PC. I have a Series X and PS5 hooked up as well but it's not the same. Plus I have so many old games and emulators on disc.

I had to crack this Alienware open and replace the fans while also adding fans to have decent temps and noise levels.
Noctua fans definitely got the job done. I never seen a PC so cramped and suffocated. You wouldn't believe how this PC looks inside.
I want to have a case for years that will enable me to do whatever I want regarding space, airflow and cooling.
