Iiyama introduces new 1080p screens with Free Sync

Iiyama is launching a threefold of Free Sync monitors, located in their G-Master series. You will get the choice of a 24.5-inch and 27-inch model in which the latter is also available up to 144 Hz. All screens have a TN panel, 1080p resolution and response time of 1 ms.

The first two monitors are located in the new Black Hawk series, these are the more budget gaming series from Iiyama. Both the 24.5-inch G2530HSU and the 27-inch G2530HSU are based on a TN panel with a 1920x1080 resolution and a FreeSync range from 48 to 75 Hz. Max brightness is to be 250, and 300 nits The monitors have VGA, HDMI or DisplayPort. The Black Hawk monitor are available immediately for €159 and €209.

The Red Eagle series is aimed more at the premium segment and as such the GB2760QSU offers a higher refresh rate of 144 hertz and has a much better 2560x1440 resolution. The brightness is 350 nits slightly better. There are also two USB 3.0 ports available instead of USB 2.0. The all new Red Eagle monitor should be available soon would see a  €469 price point.

My first 24" gaming monitor was a 1080p Yiiama and after 10 years of intense use, still rock. Great products.

If the 24.5'' can reach 90hz and supports an increased range of fs, 30-90 maybe, it could be very interesting.

Pixel density's a bit low nowadays 1080p at 27" ain't it?

Not really, these are gaming monitors and their true potential lies in fast paced online games - while u could argue about the resolution in that scenario, check pricing first - they are not that expensive...

I actually own Black Hawk 27" first model - its awesome, end of story.
