iiyama announces ProLite X4372UHSU 43-inch 4K monitor

The ProLite X4372UHSU, offers the power of four Full HD displays packed into one. Equipped with an IPS matrix featuring 4K resolution, this device provides excellent colour reproduction and wide viewing angles, making work even more comfortable.

The spacious and comfortable ProLite X4372UHSU-B1 is a 43-inch display with 16:9 aspect ratio. Featuring a high-quality IPS matrix in 4K resolution (3840 x 2160), this monitor is capable of displaying 4 times more information than a Full HD screen. The wide aspect ratio together with Ultra HD resolution and the PbP (picture-by-picture) function allowing simultaneous display of images from up to four different input signals, make this monitor an exceptional work-tool. You can experience a display surface equal to four Full HD monitors, seamlessly without any bezel interruption. Furthermore, it boosts workplace comfort without tangled cables which is typical disadvantage of multi-monitor setups.

All for one and one for all

The ProLite X4372UHSU-B1 will suit a vast range of applications where simultaneous active applications are a standard, including Data Analysis, CAD / CAM, photography or data virtualization. Users can also relax during working hours and watch a favourite movie in one window while staying productive on the others.

After work the monitor can also serve as a home entertainment centre. Watching movies or gaming become real pleasure. The low response time (4ms) allows enjoying dynamic games and High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology support makes the image in games or movies even more vivid and colours more saturated.

Comfort above all

The panel comes with three digital signal inputs: 2x HDMI (v. 1.2/2.0), 2x DisplayPort (v. 1.2) and 4x USB port (2x v. 3.0 and 2x v. 2.0). A headphone input and 2 x 9W speakers deliver high quality sound whether for multimedia use or professions dedicated to video and sound processing. Combining the blue light reducer and flicker free functions with vibrant 450 cd/m² brightness and HDR support, the display offers accurate colours and pin-sharp images. It also has a most convenient headphone hook on the back of the screen and an infrared remote allowing, among others, volume and OSD menu control. Moreover, the display can be mounted on any wall mount compatible with VESA standard.

Weird part is they do market it for gaming, but with that size it sort of makes more sense for console gaming, I find it quite hard to use it like a regular monitor. Pretty sure the capability to use as 4 monitors in 1 should be handy for some people though. Freesync would be pretty interesting, but I'm guessing using it with the PbP and freesync would be a huge pain in the...

Anyway, it's nice to see other options outside our usual LG, Samsung, and so on, especially since from what I know about iiyama, they usually make commercial/enterprise products, so build quality should be pretty good.

Personally I hate 16:9 anymore. But something like this for a race simulator is awesome.

If your gonna sit super close, yea this monitor is a waste unless using a race sim setup.

I use a 43" for productivity and love it. I have the Acer ET430K. I usually just split it into 2 windows down the middle. If you do anything that requires a large vertical viewing area, it's amazing. It's like having 2 portrait monitors side-by-side, but with a wider viewing area than a traditional monitor in portrait allows. Took me a day or so to get used to it, but then it felt normal. Next to that I have two 24 inchers in landscape stacked on top of each other on a tree stand. It's been a productivity game changer.

I use a similar monitor, the bdm4350. I use it for dev work. To the left I have a generic 21 inch 1080P (Dell I think) and to the right I have a vertical Acer Predator XB271HU.

I often have Unity on the main monitor, Visual studio on the vertical 1440P and a dedicated surfing VM on the 21 inch. Its seems like a goofy setup at first but after about a day of using it I was hooked.
