Crytek Hunt Showdown Early Access is now available on Steam EA
Crytek has announced that its competitive first-person PvP bounty hunting game with heavy PvE elements, Hunt: Showdown, is now available on Steam Early Access.
In addition, the team revealed the game’s official PC requirements for its Steam Early Access build. As noted, Hunt: Showdown is an Early Access title, and players should note that they will experience crashes, as well as optimization, performance, and balancing issues. Still, the team states that it is dedicated to fixing major issues as quickly as possible, and to optimizing performance and balance.
Hunt contains a 1km2 map packed with hand-crafted locations for you to explore, hoards of gruesome monsters for you to fight on your way to even more savage bosses, and more than 40 weapons, tools, and other equipment. Each player will also have a Bloodline, which is a pool of Hunter characters and is also where experience from Hunters that are killed will be saved.
Savage, nightmarish monsters roam the Louisiana swamps, and you are part of a group of rugged bounty hunters bound to rid the world of their ghastly presence. Banish these creatures from our world, and you will be paid generously—and given the chance to buy more.

Lol it just got released. How many players do you think there are if you just learned about it? It's in pre-release actually so they are still working the kinks out. Most reviews are positive and complaints seem to be server complaints, how rare, and bugs, gee in a pre release bugs, really? The concept seems to be fresh, hunt down monsters with a partner, if you die you are done no more lives. After killing all monsters you then have to make it out alive with your bounty. It then turns into you vs the other bounty hunters that made it through the whole game alive. So that means you are surviving against the best players. Nice twist. I love the trolling, never a positive thing to say.

Cool game if it was single player. Otherwise pass.

I'm just pissed that they don't have the support for proper multi-GPU! I look back at all crytek games and they thrived on multi-GPU configurations. Even dual card setups are struggling with this title.
Still wish the GPU companies didn't kill off multi card config because in games theft still support it I'm rocking 4k with most settings maxed out.
Perfect example of one game getting shat on would be the witcher 3!! Played that game upon release in 4k DSR with near perfect scaling on four GPU's to only attempt to play the game a year or so later (after information on dual card support only) the game runs so poorly i never finished playing it....
Bought it for $19 a couple months ago for my X and I'm loving it all over once again....!!

Looks fun. I like the swampy environment. Bounty Hunters facing off after the co-op? That's quite a twist on the survival genre. I'll definitely try it.

According to the majority of reviews in its current state - a beautiful buggy mess with very small amounts of players for its scale.
