A silver-coloured satin finish plastic is utilized for the rectangular stand base and the thin stand neck of the monitor, giving it a simple and familiar appearance. Meet the HP U32, which features an IPS-type panel and is designed to be both color accurate and comfortable to view.

In addition, the bottom bezel is matte black plastic, with a contrasting glossy silver-colored company emblem on it. The top and side bezels are two-stage, with a thin panel border level with the rest of the screen and a thin hard plastic outer section that extends outward from the panel border. When viewed from the front, the OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled via a joystick located in the rear of the vehicle, towards the bottom right.

PCmonitors mentions that the panel in question is a BOE ADS-IPS panel, which has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 ('4K' UHD) and is 31.5 inches in diagonal size. A 60Hz refresh rate is supported, and the display has a 1000:1 static contrast ratio as well as 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, according to the specifications. A matte anti-glare screen surface is featured, as is 10-bit (8-bit + FRC) color support, as well as a matte anti-glare screen surface. An sRGB emulation setting with a specified DeltaE of 2 is included with the monitor, which has been factory calibrated. A flicker-free WLED backlight with a 98 percent DCI-P3 color gamut and a peak brightness of 400 cd/m2 provides a wide color spectrum and high luminance. TÜV Rheinland has certified the monitor as 'Eyesafe,' meaning that the blue peak has been relocated to less energetic wavelengths and the amplitude of the peak has been decreased in order to potentially increase viewing comfort.

With VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, the display is capable of responding to HDR10 content. A fundamental HDR level that does not necessitate a particularly high level of brightness in accordance with HDR standards or the use of local dimming. However, this makes it possible to make full use of the 10-bit color reproduction and the rather wide color spectrum

Using a quick-release mechanism, the accompanying stand mounts centrally and provides complete ergonomic flexibility, including 150mm (5.91 inches) of height adjustment and pivoting into portrait orientation. It can be removed to reveal 100 x 100mm VESA mounting holes, which can be used for various mounting options. There are several ports, all of which are oriented backwards in a vertical arrangement beneath the stand attachment point. These include DP 1.4, HDMI 2.0, three USB 3.0 ports (one of which is USB-C with 65W power delivery, DP Alternate Mode and upstream data), a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a DC power input (for an external "power brick").

The monitor is listed for approximately $500 USD.
