HP Omen X Gaming Laptop Gets 120Hz screen and is overclockable
HP has added their new Omen X Gaming Laptops to its line-up, by doing so they now offer a laptop that can be tweaked a bit as well as offering a 1080x1920 display at high 120Hz refresh rate, it supports GSync as well.
The base configuration model comes packed with a GeForce GTX 1070, 16GB of RAM, a i7-7700HQ processor, a 256 GB SSD, a 1TB hard drive, and a 1080p 120Hz display for $1,999. The OMEN X laptop comes in 15-inch and 17-inch versions, both equipped with NVIDIA G-Sync and optional, overclocked NVIDIA GTX 1080 graphics cards
That was the starter model though, the more expensive config reaches $3699 for a GeForce GTX 1080 model with 32 GB of RAM, an that overclockable i7-7820HK processor. This model will also carry a 2TB SSD unit, a 1TB hard drive, and a 4K display. Both the screen options are equipped with Nvidia G-sync. Omen X makes replacing the SSD, HDD, and RAM super simple – it’s all accessible under one pane past a couple of Phillips screws. The laptop has a mechanical keyboard that makes use of self-developed switches from HP with 2.5 mm accentuation, these are RGB-illuminated. The laptops weigh 4.7 kilograms.
The OMEN X laptops will go on sale directly from HP and its partners in November.

My 17" ASUS Strix with a 1070 is overkill on its 1080p G-sync display. The 1080 is unnecessary unless it's 4k. I can overclock my 1070 as well but can't do anything with my 7700hq (though I did undervolt it by 125mv to help with temps).
I only paid $1,450 for this laptop.

Looks like a good gaming laptop (the lowest model), Gsync always is welcome, and the price tag is right.
On the other hand, it weights about double what MSI's new laptops weight with comparable stats (they have this new Max-Q design), but they are about 10% more expensive too.
