Hitman 2 Has Been Announced
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Io Interactive have announced Hitman 2. It will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam worldwide on November 13 for $59.99. Hitman 2 takes players on a global adventure across a mix of bustling international locations, including a vibrant Miami setting with the colorful ambience of an in-progress motorsport race bringing a new backdrop to the series. From sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests, each intricate location provides multiple paths to discover and unparalleled game depth. Continuing the ultimate spy thriller story, Hitman 2 allows players to take on the role of the masterful Agent 47 and embark on a mission to hunt the elusive Shadow Client and unravel his militia once and for all. However, when 47 learns the hidden truth about his past, nothing will ever be the same. Hitman 2 introduces new ways to play with the Sniper Assassin mode, a standalone feature that brings a co-op experience to the Hitman series for the first time, allowing two players to work together online to take down their targets. Sniper Assassin can also be enjoyed in a single player mode for those who want to play as Agent 47.

I remember the first hitman 2 was hard as balls. And balls are very hard. Basically you raised suspicion just by walking by people. They would shoot you out of the blue for no reason. It was fun. It is a game i hold dear in my heart bcause i was a kid and we cherish our kid games. I hope they dont screw this one.

Is this actually a remake? I never played it so I can't tell by reading the description.
I overall am a bit of a fan of remastering old games. More often than not, older games still hold up very well by today's standards, they just have bad graphics or are incompatible with modern display form factors. Sometimes, I'd rather have a game remastered (with adjustments here and there to fix common complaints about it or to make it more modernized) with a little bit of bonus content, rather than an un-inspiring sequel. As I've said before, I'd rather see a remaster of the existing Half-Life series than a part 3, where there'd be tweaks here and there so the story officially comes to an end. I figure Valve never made a part 3 because they knew it would never live up to the expectations.
Unfortunately, they probably will screw that part up. Games by major publishers nowadays are made to sell well, and serious games that are legitimately challenging (in a fair way, not because of pay-to-win) don't appeal to the widest audience. They obviously appeal to a very wide audience, but not the widest.
