HIS R7800 has Three IceQ X Models

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 03/05/2012 04:57 PM | source: | 0 comment(s)

HIS as well releases its Radeon HD 7800 series with a trio in their IceQ family.

These products are the HIS HD 7850 IceQ X, the HIS HD 7870 IceQ X, and HIS HD 7870 IceQ iTurbo. The first two use IceQ X cooling solutions as we have learned to like, finally a different cooler color though, black and silver.

The HD 7850 IceQ X comes with a clock speed of 860 MHz core and 1200 MHz (4.80 GHz effective) memory, which is reference. The HD 7870 IceQ X comes with a 1000 MHz core and 1200 MHz (4.80 GHz effective) memory also AMD reference.

There is one model that breaks from the standard ICEQ design and that would be the HIS HD 7870 IceQ iTurbo, check out the new cooler on that one, an aluminum 'channel' heatsinktied to four 8mm thick copper heat pipes. From what we learned is that this version as well will be clocked at reference clocks, whichw e find surprizing. Have a peek at the photo's.
