being on an old Zen 2 platform and having garbage Hynix AFR(was hoping it would be CJR) I regard Hynix as a “budget” chip.

2 people on Ocn got that kit in hand now. Many more soon

How well ddr5 is overclocking depends on time invested in it. We are still learning ddr5

The tools must be there if you want to overclock 6400c32. Read;
Good MB
Good Cpu
Knowledge
Enough time testing and failing LOL
More testing....
Aorus Master good enough? I had to buy because it had on board 10Gb lan and i giot 12900K, not tested it yet, will be running on custom loop, im replacing my trashy 5950x and MSI x570 Creation with this

I see someone talking about 5200 and 4400 and I know the problem : Z690 can only (really) use 2 ram slots
I'm very angry by reviewers and youtubers who aren't doing their job telling us this (other than builzoid that theorized it wouldn't work properly) it is a scandal
check the QVLs they are empty or list memory kits running at clocks below their sold speed....as an early adopter I tought it was just an early thing but no, it's a HUGE problem with ddr5 you are sold 4 slots motherboards but you can't use them without destroying your memory performance
my tip : buy G.Skill 2x16gbs 6000 36 memory it works fine, avoid corsair kits they don't work lots of problems at boot, can't run at their advertised speeds while g.skill is plug and play...I really wanted corsair rgb memory like I always did but not if it destroys my performance and with DDR5 it did :/
p.s. please don't tell me that with expert bios tweaks you can run 4 sticks fine, nobody cares when you are sold a motherboard and memory kits you don't sign an agreement to take an advanced overclocking course 1st

Cheap 4800mhz hynix without heatsink and a 12400 is a killer kombo. Soon every 4800 hynix will be gone...
