An overclocker posted photographs of a Zen 4 CPU's disconnected heat spreader on Twitter. The juicy fact is that this CPU generation has not yet been launched, no links or names are indicated because this photo was not supposed to be made public.
You can clearly see the solder points for two 6nm 8-core CPU blocks as well s the IO chip. In addition to the large-area contacts with the three chips, only eight tiny points connect the heat spreader to the package.
A look at the soldering spots on the heat spreader reveals how close the two CPU dies are to the edge, whereas the huge I/O die is considerably more centrally located.
