HDI Announces Dune HD Solo 4K

HDI has announced the all new Dune HD Solo 4K. It can play a wide varyity of video formats in ultra HD, including support for hevc-video, also known as h.265 with a maximum color-depth support of 10bits.



The Dune HD Solo 4K makes use of a Sigma SMP8758-processor with built in 4k-support and 1GB RAM. The device can also manage content scaling (up-sampling) to 4k by vxp and supports all modern 3d standards like MVC, SBS and TnB. No HDMI 2.0 though, it has a HDMI 1.4b-connector with a maximum of 30Hz in 4K and 120Hz at 1080p.

Dune HD Solo 4K is the most universal solution for playback of 4K and FullHD video, high-quality audio, IPTV and VOD content, digital TV channels. Supporting most digital audio and video formats, including the most modern HEVC video codec with the support for 1 billion of colors (10-bit color encoding), all modern 3D video standards such as MVC, SBS and TnB, audiophile HD audio with high resolution up to 24-bit /192 KHz, Dune HD Solo 4K sets an entirely new standard. Dune HD Solo 4K is equipped with two USB ports, an internal 2.5” SATA HDD bay with hot swap function, 1Gbit Ethernet, 802.11ac Dual Band 2T2R Wi-Fi.

According to the specs the media player will run on Android 6.0 and will be available in February at a Price of 299 EURO.
