Half Life 3 & Left 4 Dead 3 Confirmed but not Announced
Counter-Strike's co-creator Minh "Gooseman" Le' has spilled the beans and confirmed both Half Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3. In a recent video interview, Gooseman revealed that Valve is currently working on both of the aforementioned titles. And while Gooseman was a bit hesitant about Half Life 3, he mistakenly thought that Valve had already confirmed Left 4 Dead 3 and shared his thoughts about it.
So there you have it everyone. Left 4 Dead 3 is coming and will most probably be announced soon. Half Life 3, on the other hand, may take forever to get announced.

HL2: Episode 3? any news about this? Or are we going to move directly to HL3 with no concern over continuity?
We all know (from reddit leaks) Valve are working on a new Source game engine (even though there is too much competition which looks better) and I suspect they were just using existing models and artwork for testing and this guy just saw that and made a leap.
HL3 is not in development, neither is HL2:EP3 but LFD3 - totally.
The anticipation is too great for another HL game that it simply cannot and will not ever either live up to its expectation or the expectation we place upon it in our own minds.
In other words, should it ever be released, there will always be someone somewhere who is extremely disappointed.

Meh, Half one is great, for its time. HL2... *shrugs* not great, not bad, not in between either?!
Look forward to it though.

They'll be moving to a new game entirely from what I understand, and honestly that's the best move they could make after this length of time. A short episode would probably just piss people off. I don't see how shifting to a third game would damage continuity however, it's easy enough to write into the start of the game.

So, yet another company who doubles back on what they previously have said.
And people wonder why kids grow up distrustful of the world and all the people in it...
