Published by

So you have this fast snazzy USB 3.2 port on your PC or Laptop and still that old USB flash drive running 25 MB/s right? Well, your luck is about to change as we give away a Crucial X8 1TB Portable SSD, this baby is NVMe powered and is capable of 1,050 MB/s. And you know what, we'll make hand out a 1 terabyte version.

In December each workday we gave away nice prizes. We have anywhere from three to six competitions each and every week until we hit the year 2020. So yes it is time to give a little back to the Guru3D community, our way of showing you some respect for not using an ad-blocker on this website. December will be loaded and packed with competitions!

Win a Crucial X8 Portable USB SSD (1TB)

This, by far, among the faster USB based portable storage to date as it is NVMe based, combined with the DNA of NMVe it can reach 1050 MB/sec over USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type C). The SSD is among the faster portable storage units released and a first for Crucial. Based on NVMe technology combined with the DNA of QLC NAND it can reach numbers over that USB port that are staggering. The storage solution is durable, sturdy and just looks really slick. The X8 indeed makes use of QLC NAND, and that will have an effect on write performance. But we'll check that out in our review of course. The X8 has a USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2) which means it connects on a 10Gb/s (1250 MB/sec) USB link.
