GTA5 to have extremely large map

Rockstar Games unveiled new information about Grand Theft Auto V, which is slated for a Spring 2013 release. The game promises an extremely large map, Rockstar claims the game's city, Los Santos, will be bigger than GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption and GTA San Andreas combined!.

The game will have three main characters, and the game publishers also revealed that the game will have more vehicles than ever before, including planes and aircraft accessible from early within the game.
The game’s three main characters are Michael, an ex-bank robber now living the high life following a deal with the FIB (the game’s version of the FBI); Franklin, a young gang member from the wrong side of the tracks who has gone into semi-legitimate business as a repo man; and Trevor, a maniacal drug addict and lifelong criminal who once flew for the military.

All three characters have their own lives, homes and daily routines, and the player will be able to switch between them at will when not taking part in a mission. The trio’s stories closely intertwine, and they’ll be teaming up for selected missions in the game, some of which will be elaborate, extended heists in which you’ll be able to change character at selected points.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas = 13,9 Square Miles
Grand Theft Auto: IV = 16 Square Miles
Red Dead Redemption = 28 Square Miles

Last GTA I truly enjoyed playing was Vice City. San Andreas was crap, GTA4 was much better but I did not bother finishing that one as it got boring. Did not play GTA4 at the release, bought it from some Steam sale when it run quite well after few patches(?) and I had PC which was able to deal with the game (which is the more likely reason why it ran well). Hopefully they will get this one working straight from the PC release (optimize).

Not sure if game getting boring was something to do with game area getting bigger and bigger all the time yet feeling more empty. Perhaps there was not enough stuff to do or there was too much to do, still good luck with this game. :) Might not be buying straight at the time when game comes out, but from Steam(?) sale if I dont hear exceptionally good comments from friends, reviews and so which might make me buy it like a week from release.

This series is becoming like COD and EA franchises. New gfx same gameplay as from GTA 3.

Really?

Go play GTA3 then GTA4

Not to mention they release them about every 3-4 years, nothing like the yearly modern shooter releases
