Perhaps handy in these times to chat up visually with the family opposed to using something like Skype or Whatsapp. Google Meet, a video conferencing service for up to 100 participants, can be used for free by anyone.

Previously known as "Google Hangouts Meet," the tool was previously only available to G Suite customers. Last month, the premium version of Meet became free access to G Suite users. People can participate in a Meet call without having to pay for the product, but the call had to be made by someone with a paid G Suite account. However, this now changed so that everyone can make calls on Meet without paying.

Previously, Google Meet could only be used by groups, teams, businesses, organizations, schools and institutions. Now, and for the first time, individuals are added to the list. Originally, calls were limited to 60 minutes for the free product. Now, Google will not impose a time limit until September 30. That's a pretty good deal. You can create a meeting here.
