Going REALLY BIG with the Colorful iGame GTX 1080 KUDAN
On the Asia based PConline some photos surfaced of a monstrosity from Colorful, it is the iGame GTX 1080 KUDAN. I say monstrosity not as an insulting remark, it's just that it is HUGE.
The photos originate from PCOnline from where they spread out over the web. Apparently at the Colorful Games Union event they have revealed this puppy, well .. dawg. The KUDAN GTX 1080 is 4-slots wide, let me say that again, 4 slots! The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 is based on a GP104-A1 GPU which holds 7.2 Billion transistors (FinFET). The GeForce GTX 1080 is the card that comes fitted with Micron's GDDR5X-memory, a proper 8 GB of it. The reference cards have a base-clock of 1.61 GHz with a boost clock of 1.73 GHz. The KUDAN has a hybrid design that can be used, to liquid cool as well as the backside for your custom water-loop. The product is just a GTX 1080 though, the product is clocked at a boost clock of 1936 MHz and thus a base clock of 1784 MHz. The memory is clocked at reference speeds of 10 GHz.
To power it all it requires two 8-Pin connectors Monitor outputs include 1x DVI, 1x HDMI and 3x DisplayPort. The 1080 KUDAN will likely only be available in the Asia region (if at all) next month.
What shall we name it, a big whopper ? LOL. There's just one simple question that keeps floating through my mind, .. why ?!

It must be loud as hell when all those little fans ramp up. I dont think its even more offective than two 80mm fans.
