Gigabyte X399 AORUS XTREME Product page is up

Gigabyte launched a product page for the Gigabyte X399 AORUS XTREME, meet the motherboard. The new GIGABYTE X399 AORUS XTREME motherboard will be powered by a digital 10+3 phase design to fully support AMD Ryzen Threadripper 32C/64T 250W TDP processor.

Since the slide is listing 250W, we can now finalize the TDP for the 32-core beast. Check out the screenshots from the slide and you will notice an incredibly nice looking heatsink, massive backplate. The X399 AORUS XTREME is equipped with three M.2 slots all with heat sinks. Gigabyte is going really extreme in the networking connectivity, organized in a 3+1 fashion you will receive 1x of 10GbE (yes, a dedicated 10 Gigabit jack from Aquantia), and two 1GbE jacks. That's all next AC dual-band Wi-Fi of course.

The release date is August 9, the market assumed price is around 58,000 yen including tax, which is 449 EUR and 399 USD.

I guess this means 8+2 phase is underbuilt for threadripper 2.

I guess this means 8+2 phase is underbuilt for threadripper 2.

It's probably 4 with doublers, and 3 moudly spots as the +3, then they remove 2 of the phases in a "revision" that's after the initial/reviewer batches. But what do I know, they've only been doing that for years now.
