When the first Fury (non X models) were released, a lot of manufacturers where absent. Over the past few weeks Fury gain in popularity, mostly due to pretty good DX12 feature-sets and some 'no too clever' stuff from Nvidia lately. Perhaps that is why Gigabyte now also started offering Radeon R9 Fury, the WindForce  version of course.

Gigabyte offers their Radeon R9 Fury graphics card under SKU code GV-R9FURYWF3OC-4GD and applies that massive yet silent WindForce cooler on it. This is a triple fan WindForce 3X cooler much like to what you see on the 980 Ti model.

If you look at the card you'll notice that this is an internal custom build, no small PCB, a full length one meaning that Gigabyte ditched the reference design.

  • Powered by AMD Radeon R9 FURY GPU
  • Integrated with 4GB 4096-bit High Bandwidth Memory (HBM)
  • Core Clock: Up to 1010MHz
  • Features HDMI / DisplayPort/Dual-Link DVI-I
  • System power supply requirement: 600W

The card comes with a very modest factory-tweak at 1010 Mhz on the core clock (1000 MHz reference) and obviously that complicated HBM memory partition remains clocked at a 500 MHz data-rate. The card has 8-pin power connectors (two) and dual-link DVI, HDMI 1.4a, and three DisplayPort 1.2a connectors.

Price and availability is TBA, but we expect it tobe at the 500 USD/EURO marker.
