Gigabyte Teases GeForce GTX 1070 Ti

Now, we assume it is a 1070 as we have been taliing about that last week already. Gigabyte on its facebook posted a hint towards a new Ti model.

Industry sources claim all this, the product would get 2304 Shader cores which is a little hard to believe being so close to the 1080. It could also be the opposite and a simple 1070 with faster memory, likely 9 Gbps GDDR5. Back to facebook, the FB post shows an image with an evil clown hinting to the movie IT. Then there is a picture of a video card with the Gigabyte Aorus cooler, a wallet with money rising (one bill) with a balloon and the stylized letters "TI" opposed to "IT".

At the top of the teaser is the text "You'll float too." As a caption there is:

"Ti will get you too ... eventually ...
#comingsoon".

Possibly (even likely) the horror theme refers to an introduction date during Halloween which is Wednesday, 31 October.

I'm not trying to be an ass, but you do know both brands have die-hard loyalists, right? Even if they're not loyalists, they buy what is currently the best for the sake of having the best (which is currently Nvidia). Some people jump on a product as soon as its out regardless of how little they need it, simply because they like the brand and the brand makes you think you need them (iPhones are a great example of this). Most people don't use their brains when buying hardware; most buy something because they were up-sold something by a salesman, they were convinced by an ad (or peers), or because they like big numbers. There's a stereotype of kids with a 1080Ti who just use it to play Minecraft and indie games for a reason..

hehe yeah you got a point there, looking at it from that perspective. There's always the mandatory "I buy it" group.

1070Ti might be a good deal for people who didn't buy 10xx series when it was released.
Nvidia targets people who like : "I don't know if I want to buy Nvidia 10xx now, it was released a while ago, maybe I should just wait for next gen..."

It's more like mental, rather than performance result thing.

"Nvidia milking customers" is not the right statement. AMD allowing Nvidia to milk customers is better.

Nobody is getting milked, NV has fair prices for great performance.
Prices aren't any higher than they were in recent years.

You still had GPUs like 8800ultra for 800 USD
I always like to look at things like this when i hear people complaining about prices:

In which, if you plan to reply with that, just know this:

You are wrong. Titan cards are their own breed of cards nvidia made as ultra-high end, a slot that previously did not exist. They aren't even (anymore) Geforce cards. The closest thing to a titan card from the past, would be the 8800 Ultra.
