I had a board die about a month ago. I was going to upgrade my 1800x/x370 to a 5800x/570s but ended up getting a B550-F Wifi from Asus. I'm not mad I don't lose much that I care about. With one PCIe 4.0 slot and one PCIe 4.0 M2 drive that is going to be a good compromise.

While fanless is a big step up for me personally, and I'd happily choose X570 over B550 is the price delta was lower, the feature set doesn't impress.

One type C (even if 2x2)?
One 2.5Gb Ethernet (though Intel at least)?
No diagnostic LED?

I appreciate the 6 SATA ports and decent number of back panel USB ports but those are the only really compelling selling point here. Even if you actually need the extra PCIe 4.0 connectivity, and thus X570, there are plenty of more interesting options.
Obviously this is incredibly personal, and subject to local pricing, but in my (slowly..) ongoing build I ended up getting the Gigabyte B550 Vision D-P for ~30% less than this and that's just my personal example, plenty of boards around that are more compelling.

It was probably inevitable that motherboards start getting out of hand with pricing too but even in the current market this seems like a $190 to $220 board to me. *shrug*

Mind, I'm sure it's an excellent board... I just don't see why anyone would want to buy this specifically.

The fan on the orginal x570 isnt even on until it reaches 60c on the chipset (which never does in a good airflow case).
