Gigabyte releases AORUS RGB Memory rated 3600MHz

More news from Gigabyte today as they released a 3600 Mhz version of their AORUS RGB Memory. It is a dual-channel kit based on two DIMMs, Gigabyte however included two dummy bars to fill them DIMM slots.

The addressable RGB LED mounted on the top of the heat sink can be linked with GIGABYTE “RGB Fusion 2.0”. Also, if you enable "AORUS Memory Boost", which is mounted on a part of the GIGABYTE "AORUS" motherboard, it will operate at 3,733MHz, which exceeds the XMP profile.

The memory profile is XMP 2.0 compliant. The operating voltage of SPD is 1.2V, the clock is 2,666MHz, the latency is 19-19-19-43 for Intel and 20-19-19-43 for AMD. XMP operating voltage is 1.35V, clock is 3,600MHz, latency is 18-19-19-39.

Slow memory, 3600 cl18, but they have colored LEDs which is the best. Irony off.

Yeah these mfer list Samsung B-die ICs in the specs for the Aorus RGB 3200Mhz kit that includes 2 dummy DIMM. Guess what ? it was Hynix IC so my Aorus X570 Elite mobo didn't want to play nice with even at stock XMP (on every cold boot the mobo will cycle boot couple times), put in 2x8GB real Samsung B-die and set 3600mhz 16-16-16-32 and everything is fine and dandy.

is this some sort of a joke? those timings are on the bad side. Oh well ... more colors but less performance?

Since Samsung isn't making any more B-die, newer stuff is less likely to have it and the stuff that is out there is going out of stock fast.
