Gigabyte Releases Aero 15 X

Gigabyte announces its new AERO 15 black series: AERO 15 X gaming laptop PCs. This 1.9cm thick unit houses GeForce GTX 1070 shoehorned into a frame with near-borderless 5mm bezels.

The AERO 15 X offers best-in-class performance with graphics power courtesy of the NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 1070 with 8G GDDR5, and a 7th Gen Core i7-7700HQ CPU paired with dual-channel DDR4-2400 RAM. Storage is courtesy of dual M.2 PCIe x4 SSDs, enabling blazing transfer speeds and instantaneous response times. Thunderbolt 3 with transfer speeds up to 40Gbps also makes an appearance in the shape of a USB Type-C connector with 5V/3A output.

AERO 15 X derives the legacy from AERO 15 and upgrade the graphic to gaming-grade NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 1070 with 8G GDDR5 VRAM, which promising over 15000 points on 3DMark11 P score and redefine the possiblity of smooth gameplay on thin-and-light laptop, especially on a laptop with only 5mm thin bezel, showhorned in a 14” like chassis. Even so, the redesigned thermal module on AERO 15 X shows no sacrifice to heat generated during running, ensuring the best-in-class graphic power is gracfully delivered to user.

The AERO 15 not only comes with a full-size keyboard with tactile feedback for maximum usability, but is also the first to feature a 16.8 million color per-key RGB backlight to a professional laptop. You can bind macros to each key, boosting productivity, just as easily as you can control the lighting effects with the bundled GIGABYTE Fusion software.

The diversity of I/O port on AERO series had always been highly appreciated, and heritage remains on AERO 15 X. Featuring lightning-fast Thunderbolt 3 with 40Gbps and reversible USB Type-C connector, USB 3.1 Gen2, DisplayPort and PCI Express signal could be properly handled and don’t forget the outstanding charting capability come from 5V/3A power delivery. High speed storage, external display and external graphic docking could be seamlessly supported.

X-Rite Pantone is a world-renowned authority on color, partnering with GIGABYTE to ensure true display color reproduction. Each AERO 15 display panel is fully calibrated to X-Rite™ Pantone® standards prior to shipping. The AERO 15 comes with a Full HD WVA panel, offering true-to-life project-to-print colors.

No expense has been spared when it comes to the look and feel – the AERO 15 X chassis and cover are all machined from aluminum, using state of the art technology in chassis manufacturing, the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) is an automation of precise machine tools which creates well-detailed chassis.

The AERO 15 X celebrates individuality – refine from pure black “Black Series”, boasting from sober and stylish Black . Each back cover also houses another unique GIGABYTE design feature, the Nano-Imprint Lithography triangle, adding yet another touch of exclusive feel to the CNC-machined cover.
