Gigabyte Radeon HD 4890 caught on camera

Funny how that always happens shortly before a product launch eh ? Due to be released in early April specs and photo's already leaked onto the web regarding the pending launch of ATI's Radeon HD 4890.

There's very little that was not revealed really. Below yhou can see photo's of Gigabyte's 4890. Again we spot a reference product armed with 1GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 3900 MHz.

The core clock frequency on this one is also 850 MHz / 256-bit, (55nm GPU) has the reference dual-slot cooler. We expect the Gigabyte Radeon HD 4890 to retail for roughly $249.

I'm slowly starting to think here that it might be wiser to just get a cheaper 1 GB 4870 and overclock it yourself, but that's just Dutch old me, of course.
